what a relief
that you are who you say
that you are.
all the time.
You
do not lie
coerce
rehearse
criticize
womanize
or manipulate
You
are never late.
You will never cheat on me
use me
trick me
abandon leave forsake
you do not.
You dont say nice things
with alterior motives
or tell me what i want to hear
if you call me dear
it is because i am
really
and truly
dear to you
what a change
to be loved with love
not lust
loneliness
or boredom
it is a bit sickening
how cynical ive been
to the only one who tells the truth
and how naive
to the words of men
those known liars
unfaithful from first breathe
i eagerly believe each farce
crawl wide eyed inside
every trap
but
i will scrutinize God himself
for proof
